New Year, Approach with Caution

I'm not setting resolutions, I'm just hanging on.

So be visible. Talk to people about your role. Welcome other women into your space. Make room for them all.

I have been praised for handling it well. I embodied my personal brand and it surprised everyone.

Maybe my real job is to testify that work doesn’t define you.

Commitment can be terrifying.

We are talking to each other through goods. Generosity is about finding head space for people, not gifts.

Veteran status isn't required.

To be successful, you have to learn how to pull others in, ask them. Thank them. Grow from them. Exhaust it. Use it all and come back for more.

If I still had my mom, I wouldn't be posting about her on Facebook.

This year, I’ll be resolute in recognizing my skills and putting them to use and I’ll continue to do what I’ve been doing.
